What tools would help you with ClubMark?
  • clubbuzzclubbuzz August 2011

we have been looking at ClubMark to see how ClubBuzz can be adapted to help you to manage your members and create evidence of best practice for ClubMark. We are considering the following and welcome feedback:

Adding in coaching sessions as an event type enabling you to record and report on coaching completed each year

Adding in field for coaching staff on committee page to record qualifications level 1 to level 4

Amending junior member records to capture additional information including Disability info, Ethnicity info, previous sports experience.

    Or is there anything else?

    Over to you

Finally got around to this one. CAPS (Club Action Planning Scheme) is aligned to ClubMark and is what we hold. We very much would like to use the website as a central repository for some if not all of the data we need to collect to keep hold of the CAPS award. Having had a discussion within the club I'd like to be able to capture and report on the following:

    1. List of coaches within the club and details of coaching badges along with other related couses attened eg: First aid. These must have expiry dates associated.
    2. List of umpires and related unpiring badges and related courses. (As above)
    3. Ability to add 'free text' to committee members to describe their role fuller.
    4. In much the same way we have the 'Members Area' I'd like to have an 'Officials Area' where we could hold club documents that are shared but not nessesarily available to all members.
    5. Ability to flag players who have been selected to play at a higher level, county, country etc.
    6. 1 & 2 must have a report option of their own also.

A benefit of 1 & 2 is that a club would have the ability to SMS / Email the said groups of people easily assuming we could pick the groups from a list box, all members, coaches, umpires, committee etc.

If we could get this implemented for next week it would be very much appriciated :P

    Regards,

    Thanks Phil

    1. We could add field into members record for coaching qualifications

Choose from drop down list – • Level 1 • Level 2 • Level 3 • Level 4 Other • First Aid - free text box to specify • Child Protection Training – free text box to specify • Other - free text box to specify

    1. We could add field into members record for officials these would need to be sport specific so for example:

    Choose from drop down list – (so for example) Football • Level 1 • Level 2 • Level 3 • Level 4 • Level 5 • Level 6 • Level 7 • Level 8 • Level 9 • Level 10 Hockey • Young Umpire • Foundation Umpire • Level 1 • Level 2 • Level 3 • National • Indoor Netball • Youth Umpire • Beginner Umpire • C Award • B Award • A Award • Table Official

You can already add free text to committee members!!

We might be able to add something into the members area for officials need to look at how this could be done

Could add field into member record for playing higher level, again from a drop down list with an option for a free text response

Once work done the reports would be relatively easy to write

let me know if you think this would cover it all - not so sure about your timings :)

Ok so taking me as an example

I'm a club member, I'm also a committee member, I'm a coach, level 2 Netball obtained 2009, i'm a I'm also a first aided 2010 but my certificate runs out in 2012 and I'm CRB cleared in 2009 until 2014 can you handle all that info against my member record and allow me to report against it from a coaching perspective, CRB perspective and so on?

After doing some work on our site today it would definitely be useful to have an 'officials' members area. I'd like to put links to other resources we use one the website but I don't want all members to be able to get to them. One easy to access place would be very useful.

I think your first point on member records and reports is achievable and we will look at this - in terms of the officials area let us have a think about the best way to achieve this
