Welcome to the ClubBuzz sports forum

The ClubBuzz sports forum is a place for anyone linked to an amateur sports club to get together to discuss hot topics and issues in grass roots sports.

What membership data do you need to capture?
  • clubbuzzclubbuzz September 2011

We are reviewing the membership data currently held and want to make this as user friendly as possible so that you can have meaningful reports - let us know what other fields would be useful for you

  • clubbuzzclubbuzz September 2011

Just to add to this we have recently been asked about creating reports for clubs to use e.g. a match report, reports for national governing bodies, so please do let us have any examples/templates you may have email to hello@clubbuzz.co.uk

it would be great to have an online form for new members to fill in which populates our database, in line with england hockeys approved reg forms . when juniors apply their parents have to sign a hardcopy which can be an admin chore. worst case scenario it would be good if they could print off a fiorm they have filled in an then bring to sessions

I would like to be able to add custom fields, so that for our coaches I could capture certificate numbers, expiry dates etc. I would also like to be able to upload birth certificates and photos for those players that need to provide this information to the league.

  • clubbuzzclubbuzz November 2011

That's an interesting point Sue about uploading documents to a members profile, this could also include any past paper based form that you have captured. We are looking at capturing coaching qualifications etc so will take all these points onboard

Andy we are looking at the form and how we could print this off so already on the drawing board this works well with Sue's comment above

  • For our clubs it would be useful to have the ability for our potential members to complete a full online application form through the website at the enquiry stage, which would then automatically populate their profile. Potentially through the sign up page? We find that people do not tend to proactively go into their profile and update their details once they have been accepted, and our admin team then has the job to capture this. On the 'sign up' section of the website, by having the option to choose which fields we want new members to complete through the back end system would be extremely handy for us and we'll even buy you a bottle of wine if implemented!

Well it's amazing what a bottle of wine can do :) Seriously though this is an area we will take a look at for clubs and welcome feedback from other clubs before we spend time on developing these ideas

Agreed with Community tennis, if the sign form allowed for more data entry from the start chasing up would be a lot less.

  • clubbuzzclubbuzz April 16

We are planning a standard application form (as at present) and a detailed application form (clubs can choose which one they use). Let us know what membership fields you would like to capture on the advanced form

Also we are looking at adding in a number of "club defined" fields in the membership details - we think probably 6 additional fields - any feedback??
